Global Memorial Service
Time & Location
About the Event
You are invited to participate in a Global Memorial Service for those who have died of COVID-19, facilitated by the Council of Elders on June 23rd. Attend any one of the 7 services listed below.
COVID-19 has impacted the entire global population from taking the lives of loved ones to causing whole countries to lock down to ongoing changes in global and personal economics.
We want to take time to remember those you love who have died. During the Global Memorial Services, there will be a scrolling list of names of people who have died of COVID-19 and their country of residence. We ask you to send the names of people you wish to remember by Sunday, June 21st. There will be an additional opportunity to add names during each service. The scrolling list of names will continue to grow throughout the services.
To add names to the Memorial, click here: https://forms.gle/79MbrAp4N7FPVZ517 Please send by Sunday, June 21st.
This will be one evening of Memorial Services that will move around the world with setting sun. All services will use the same format led by different Elders with local input and influence. We will hold memorials in various time zones where we have MCC’s. Please look at the table below to find a Memorial Service in your time zone or at a time convenient with your schedule. You are welcome to attend any one, wherever you live! This is also an opportunity for you to worship with people outside of your Network or global area.
Various languages spoken by MCCers around the world will be used. An English translation of the scriptures and readings will be on the screen. We can all join our hearts in prayer and remembrance whatever language is spoken!
Plan now to participate in the Global Memorial Service on the evening of June 23rd.

*UTC – UTC stands for Universal Time Coordinated. Prior to 1972, this time was called Greenwich Mean Time or GMT but is now known as Universal Time Coordinate or UTC. It is also known as “Zulu Time”. Local times are listed as + or – UTC. For example, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) is (UTC-4) or four hours behind UTC whereas Central European Standard Time (CEST) in Germany is (UTC+2) or 2 hours ahead of UTC. MCC generally lists events in UTC and EDT time zones.
**Languages Represented – The primary language used will depend on the area and primary language of that region of the world. The scripture and readings will be in English on the screen. Prayers will not be translated.
