ADVENT IS COMING

Advent begins on Sunday, November 27th, and ends on Saturday, December 24th. During this time of reflection, prayer, and preparation, each moment is a time to be thankful for God’s blessings and mercies.

What else does it mean for us at MCCS?

Firstly you will notice that on November 27 we will have changed our colours to purple, which traditionally has symbolised penance.

Thus we have used 3 purple candles during our 40 days of Advent.

The fourth candle has been pink symbolising joy.

On Christmas Day the white, Christ candle is lt. Some churches have adopted the use of blue candles to symbolise hope and expectation, taking the focus away from penance and fasting.

Help Support Us As We Continue Our Ministry Of Love And Acceptance

MCC Sydney acknowledges and respects the Wangal people of the Eora Nation as the traditional custodians of the land on which we are broadcasting our worship services during isolation.
We pay our respect to Elders past, present and emerging and welcome any First Nations people worshiping with us.

We exist only through the generosity of our members and friends.
